If your school engages student volunteers who may be eligible for JMGF
AmeriCorps, make sure the number of positions reflects the
actual number of positions that you anticipate will complete the full 300
hour term of service.
Working with JMGF AmeriCorps Program staff, the School partner works
with young adults to enroll eligible volunteers or recruit volunteers to
work on a defined service project(s). Once volunteers have applied, the
required paperwork is collected and mailed to the JMGF AmeriCorps office
in Helena. Local partner staff provides a program orientation for new volunteers,
while the JMGF AmeriCorps office enrolls members and records their hours.
The JMGF AmeriCorps Program Director is available to train partner staff
and to offer support for both start up orientation and end of service volunteer
recognition events.
Each JMGF AmeriCorps Member commits to a 300-hour term of service and
upon successful completion of their term is awarded a $1,000 Education
Award.
If you are interested in hosting a JMGF AmeriCorps
