This past January, in cooperation with the Governor’s Office on Community Service, YASC Members in Helena participated in the making of a Public Service Announcement for TV! NeighborWorks, Great Falls, MT: AmeriCorps Member and Great Falls High School student Chase Simonson puts the finishing touches on the concrete slab on affordable, green star house that is student built from the ground up to address the need for affordable, safe housing in Great Falls, MT.
   
Same Difference Inclusive Theatre Company (SDITC), Butte MT: Based in Butte, these 5 young adults complete Orientation and get sworn into AmeriCorps service with JMGF. AmeriCorps Members serving with SDITC serve Butte and all of Montana as they use theatre as the venue to promote disAbilities inclusion and peer education. We know we did better this time by just looking at each other’s smiles and at Wayne’s proud stance! 
   
Anaconda Job Corps, Anaconda MT: AmeriCorps Members serve with Anaconda Job Corps in Business Education, Carpentry, Culinary, Heavy Machinery, and Welding. These members complete service at the Job Corps Center to benefit the Center, the local community and complete projects that benefit all Montanans, such as house construction, machinery repair and welding construction.
   
NeighborWorks, Great Falls, MT: These two Alumni smile in the sun as they install siding on the 2007-2008 NeighborWorks High School house in Great Falls, MT. NeighborWorks, Great Falls, MT:  Commissioner Bob Harris & AmeriCorps Member Josh Stiffler take a break to pose for a picture at the C.M. Russell High School house that is built from the ground up in the 2008-2009 school year. This green star house serves to educate students while meeting the need for affordable housing in Great Falls.
   
YWCA Helena, MT: Alumna Cami Boughn applies a fresh coat of paint to the front entry way of the YWCA of Helena. Cami completed her service with JMGF AmeriCorps and is now a student at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT! YASC Members from both high schools in Helena gather at the JMGF office to share some Christmas cheer and to plan for Martin Luther King Jr. Day National Day of Service in Helena!
   
YASC Members visit and get ready for an fun educational day of Member Development and Leadership Training at Carroll College on March 13, 2010. Young Adult Service Corps Members from Capital and Helena High School along with their colleagues from Energy Corps, Campus Corps, and the AmeriCorps VISTAs organized a lively Diversity Fair at Bryant Elementary School in Helena for MLK. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.
