Partner Info & Tools

A partnership with JMGF means you will gain an innovative volunteer incentive for students. A representative from your school or organization should contact the Young Adult Service Corps (YASC) office in Helena. You may download and submit the Memorandum of Understanding, along with a completed Position Description and completed in-kind contribution form. Submitted requests undergo a staff review process to ensure that projects include direct community service that meets one or more defined community needs. When filling out the partnership documents, make sure the number of positions reflects the actual number of positions that you anticipate will complete the full 300 hour term of service during the program year.

If your school or organization benefits from the volunteer service of student volunteers who are ages 17 or older, they may be eligible for an $1,000 Education Award through Young Adult Service Corps (YASC).

Working with YASC Program staff, partners identify young adults to then apply, become enrolled and then can start counting volunteer hours served on a defined service project(s). Once young adults have applied, the required paperwork is collected and mailed to the JMGF AmeriCorps office in Helena. Local partner staff and YASC provide a program orientation for new volunteers, while the YASC office enrolls members and records their hours. The YASC Program Director is available to train partner staff and to offer support for both start up orientation and end of service volunteer recognition events.

Each YASC Member is age 17 or older and commits to a 300-hour term of service, recruits one volunteer to serve 8 hours with them, and upon successful completion of their term is awarded a $1,000 Education Award.

If you are interested in partnering to offer a young adult the opportunity to earn a $1,000 Education Award by completing a term of service in a YASC position, or if you are a student and would like an application, please familiarize yourself with this web page and contact us with any questions.
