Community Based Organizations
CBO Brochure
A partnership with JMGF means implementing an innovative volunteer incentive.
A representative from the interested Community Based Organization (CBO)
should contact the JMGF office in Helena. An organization can download
and submit the Memorandum of Understanding, the Education Award request
form, along with a completed Position Description. The submitted requests
undergo a staff review process to ensure that projects include direct
community service that meets one or more defined community needs.
Note - To download
the MS Word Format files below, right-click on the link (cntrl click
on Mac) and save the document (save target as) to your computer before
opening.
If your organization already hosts student volunteers who may be eligible
for JMGF AmeriCorps, make sure the number of Education Award positions
reflects the actual number of positions that you anticipate will complete
the full 300 hour term of service.
- If you would like to increase your ability to deliver services by
hosting a JMGF AmeriCorps Member, estimate the number of positions
and clearly describe the community need, service activity and we will
work to recruit volunteers for you!
Working with JMGF AmeriCorps Program staff,
the CBO partner works to enroll eligible volunteers or recruit volunteers
to work on a defined service project(s). Local partner staff
provides a program orientation for new volunteers, while the JMGF AmeriCorps
office enrolls members and records their hours. The JMGF AmeriCorps
Program Director is available to train partner staff, recruit students
and to offer support for both start up orientation and end of service
volunteer recognition events.
Each JMGF AmeriCorps Member commits to a 300-hour term of service and
upon successful completion of their term is awarded a $1,000 Education
Award.
If you are interested in hosting a JMGF AmeriCorps position, or if you
are a student and would like a Member Application, please familiarize
yourself with this web page and don’t hesitate to contact us with
any questions.
